Benny Becker of Norton Upholstery provides complete servicing for his client’s custom upholstery needs including; reupholstering, planning, designing, construction, and covering of built-in seating components.
Benny has grown his upholstering skills from a long tradition of craftsmanship that started with his father, Samuel Becker, founder of Norton Upholstery in 1960. Benny worked side by side with his father from the age of 13 all the way to his father’s passing at age 66. Since then Benny has kept the tradition alive by continuing the family business. Benny provides a multitude of upholstery designs from the classics; retro to modern. This includes restorations of antiques using traditional horse hair to modern construction using sculpted foam and reupholstering of post-production pieces. Norton Upholstery has become widely renowned for superior workmanship throughout Westchester County, Connecticut and Rhode Island.
We provide specifications that will assure comfort and practicality while avoiding costly errors. We can suggest alternative methods of frame construction to achieve the client’s desired look and function. Most importantly we can provide skillful pattern matching and alignment and understand how different materials will enhance or change the overall appearance of an upholstered piece. Our expertise in handling different natural and synthetic materials can help in creating successful design solutions.

We create upholstered furniture for private homes, restaurants, banks, and commercial environments. We work either from designs provided by our clients, or we can create original plans on a commission basis.
